Service
Industrial decommissioning, subject to survey and agreed scope
Industrial decommissioning is the controlled shutdown and removal of plant, services and site infrastructure so a building can be cleared, reused or handed back. Red & White Group supports decommissioning across the Midlands and UK — machinery and plant disconnection, utilities isolation, asset removal and recovery, strip-out and clearance — with every element subject to survey, competence requirements and an agreed written scope.
Who this service is for

- Sites being cleared ahead of redevelopment
- Occupiers handing back a heavily serviced building
- Asset recovery and disposal programmes

Quoting
What we need to prepare a quotation
- An asset or plant list with locations
- Service and utility drawings where available
- Which assets are being retained, relocated, sold or scrapped
- Known residues, process materials or contamination
- Programme dates and any site access constraints
Safety
Safety and compliance
- No disconnection proceeds without confirmed isolation and a permit where required
- Work is delivered only where the required competence is held or a competent specialist is appointed
- Hazardous materials and specialist lifting are assessed rather than assumed
Process
How the work is delivered
Step 1
Understand the assets and constraints
We review the asset list, services and the intended end state of the building.
Step 2
Survey and define the scope
Survey confirms what we can deliver in-house and what requires a specialist, and this is set out in writing.
Step 3
Plan isolation, sequencing and safety
Isolation, permits, lifting and access are planned with the responsible parties before any disconnection.
Step 4
Coordinate and deliver
Removal, strip-out and clearance run in a controlled sequence with progress reporting.
Step 5
Review, document and prepare for handover
The cleared site is recorded and prepared for its next use.
